Invite-only high school tournament returns to Las Vegas for third year after one year break due to Covid-19

PORTLAND, ORE. September 1, 2020—The Exclusive 2021 will return to Las Vegas for the third year in 2021, Max Hoops co-founder and director Brant Minor announced recently. The invite-only tournament will be held from July 29-August 1 at the Westin Lake Las Vegas, a resort located 15 miles from downtown. 

“We were able to make improvements in our second year and are confident this year’s tournament will be the best one we’ve hosted. With one year off due to Covid-19, we were able to create some new amazing relationships and the tourney field will be stronger than ever,” said Minor. “Part of Max Hoops mission is to prepare athletes to succeed off the court as much as they do on the court and these past three years, the tournament has been able to do that.” 

The tournament will feature three sixteen-team brackets, with 15U, 16U and Open (any player who has not played in college and is less than 19 years old) age options and a four-game guarantee. Select teams will play in a “Power Pool,” to be determined by a selection committee. There will be college coaches from a variety of schools on-site for games. A “Bonus Room” will be available for players to interact with motivational speakers and citizenship awards will be given to players at the conclusion of games. Teams are required to stay at the Westin Lake and will receive an Exclusive nightly rate. Last year’s event featured 48 teams from 10 different states.
